Sporting Chances Group (SCG)
The Company
Sporting Chances Group (SCG) is an alternative education provider that spans South East London, Surrey, and Sutton. Their provisions support young people who are unable to achieve their best in mainstream education because of social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
The Role
" Working with the SCG team taught me how design and communication come together to shape a brand’s identity. My background in design and storytelling helped me turn their mission into content that felt both professional and personal."
A design internship where I worked along-side the design and marketing team, and assisted in design tasks that helped build and strengthen SCG’s brand presence. Tasks were completed independently supported by the team and exisiting brand guidelines.
My Responsibilities
The role involved creating social media content for SCG’s Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, supporting their brand development, and editing photos and videos for online use. Additionally, I collaborated closely with the Design & Marketing team, including attending regular Google Meetings.
Algorithm Based Social Media Content Strategies
For a strong social media strategy, post consistently and engage thoughtfully. On LinkedIn, comment meaningfully on others’ posts and vary content with text, images, and videos. On Instagram, use researched hashtags, respond to comments within hours, and maintain a regular posting schedule. On Facebook, humanize your brand by sharing behind-the-scenes content and engaging with groups through polls and questions.
